Pot Chicken Parmesan Pasta

Do you adore fowl parmesan, however don’t love all the dishes that include it?  Then this is the dish for you!  One pot, 30 minutes!  The pasta cooks within the pot with all of the sauce and chicken, making it fantastic flavorful!

You guys… have you ever tried one pot pasta dishes before?  They. Are. terrific!!  No awaiting a big pot of water to boil, no draining, no extra pot to wash… just one pot of pure comfort meals.  i've been dreaming up and checking out all types of one pot pasta dishes for you all, and that i think you’ll be excited with all the options over the next month or so!

I love chicken parmesan… a lot.  but I truly don’t love the tedious breading technique, so many dishes to wash, and the way long it may take to make it!  I dreamt up this dish some time ago, then observed out The Cookie Rookie had already made a exceptional model… so I headed over to her web page and made some tweaks based totally on what I had available.  This model is made with normal elements, and is fantastically flavorful!

Pot Chicken Parmesan Pasta


  • 2-3 boneless skinless chicken breasts, diced into bite sized pieces
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 medium yellow onion, minced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 16 oz dried short-cut pasta (I used rigatoni)
  • 24 oz jar of your favorite marinara sauce (I used Newman's Own)
  • water to fill empty marinara sauce jar
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • additional dried Italian seasoning, optional
  • fresh parsley and/or basil, minced for garnish


  1. To a big pot or skillet (I used my dutch oven), upload a drizzle of olive oil and warmth over MED-excessive warmth.  upload hen, season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning and garlic powder.  cook approximately 5 mins, till bird is most of the manner cooked thru.  cast off to a plate.
  2. Upload onion and garlic to the pot and cook about 2-three mins, until soft.  Pour in marinara sauce, fill up empty sauce jar with water and upload to the pot.  convey to a boil, then lessen to a strong simmer.
  3. Upload chicken and pasta, stir, then cover and cook for 10-15 minutes, till pasta is cooked to your liking.  Stir in parmesan cheese and 1/four cup of the mozzarella cheese.
  4. Sprinkle ultimate three/4 cup mozzarella cheese on top of the dish and cook dinner every other 2-3 mins, till cheese is melted and gooey.
  5. Sprinkle with additional Italian seasoning if preferred, and garnish with parsley or basil.
